Dr. Stubbs is a 1995 graduate of Life Chiropractic College in Marietta, Georgia. Upon graduation, Dr. Stubbs founded Helena Family Chiropractic and maintained it for 10 years.
He then left to pursue the unique opportunity to form a partnership with Dr. Thomas Weber to establish the first chiropractic clinic in a multi discipline spine care center in Alabaster, Alabama.
Dr. Stubbs constantly strives to improve and update his knowledge in the fields of Chiropractic healthcare. He is a board eligible Chiropractic Orthopedist. He is certified in Manipulation under Anesthesia, Impairment Ratings, as well as Ergonomics and Industrial Safety.
He is also certified in numerous rehabilitation and soft tissue techniques including Graston soft-tissue mobilization. Dr. Stubbs is also very active in both local and national associations.
He is the past President of the Jefferson County Chiropractic Society and past President of the Alabama State Chiropractic Association. He was voted by his peers as the ASCA 2012 Chiropractor of the Year.
Dr. Stubbs also serves as the Chairman of the ASCA Governmental Affairs Committee.
Dr. Roderick White
Dr. Roderick White is board certified in all four parts of the National Chiropractic Boards, administered by the NBCE (National Board of Chiropractic Examiners), along with the physiotherapeutic national examination. Dr. White is also state board certified in the great state of Alabama.
He also has been certified by the San Diego Spine Institute for the treatment and management of whiplash patients and received certification through Spidertech for kinesio taping.
Dr. Roderick White graduated from Samford University in 2000. He continued his education in St. Louis, MO and received his second bachelor's and doctorate degree from Logan College of Chiropractic. Dr. White was on the Dean's List and served as a class officer.
Prior to joining Shelby Family Chiropractic, Dr. White practiced in Helena, Alabama at Cahaba Wellness. Dr. White is pleased to be working with Dr. Stubbs and the staff at Shelby Family Chiropractic. His new office location should be convenient for existing patients and he looks forward to seeing new patients in the Hillside Medical Plaza building.
Before making the move back home to Alabama, Dr. White served as a leader in the outpatient Logan Health Centers throughout the St. Louis area. Dr. White was chosen to serve as a senior intern leader in clinic and worked closely with the Chief Clinician at Southroads Health Clinic. Dr. White was also chosen to serve as a Senior Intern at the St. Patrick's Center in downtown St. Louis, which is the largest provider of healthcare services to the indigent community in Missouri. Dr. White worked with other chiropractors, family practice physicians, nurse practitioners and dentists to serve the needs of the patients.
When not in the clinic, Dr. White is part of the adjunct faculty at Jefferson State Community College where he teaches Human Anatomy & Physiology.
Dr. White and his wife have been blessed with two daughters. Dr. White is usually spending time with his bride and their daughters when not in the office, but sometimes he can be found on the tennis courts or golf course. He also enjoys St. Louis Cardinals baseball, New York Giants football, and most all Samford University athletics.
